Demolish old tax office in Zaandam
In 2014 the last tax officer left this old tax office building. Since then it was empty and home for bats. This year (2022) there was finally green light to demolish the building and make place for new houses and some businesses. Before the work started, strong lights were used to get rid of all the bats. For that they created 24 temporary bat residences close by.
In the morning on my way to the post office I saw how the demolition company where busy doing there job. It was a typical dark and foggy December morning and I knew I had to jump out of my car together with my point and shoot camera to record it. Happy I did
